51ÊÓƵ is the setting for one of the 20th century's most defining moments. At the invitation of Missouri President Harry Truman, former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill came to Westminster in 1946 and delivered his "The Sinews of Peace" address, introducing the world to the phrase "Iron Curtain" and helping usher in the Cold War.
Today, America's National Churchill Museum — a 17th-century church from London — stands proudly at the heart of campus as a reminder that world-changing ideas can begin in unexpected places.
